Educational programme

We offer a broad and balanced programme in a small environment, giving children the opportunity to grow and learn at their own individual pace.

• Bears Class: 2 – 3 year olds (Maximum of 12 children)
• Dolphins Class: 4 – 5 year olds (Maximum of 12 children)

The curriculum covers all aspects of the child's development, ensuring all their social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs are met. This is done through encouraging exploration, play and creativity in the classroom and on the playground. This play-based, theme driven learning, requires active participation by the children. Each child is guided and facilitated in their development, with the end goal being a positive self-esteem, confidence, competence, self-control and independence.

Traditional values and manners are an imperative part of the 'hidden curriculum' and the children are therefore encouraged to be polite, courteous and caring members of the school community, where there is an acceptance for diversity.

Extra-Mural Activities

Optional extra-mural activities are offered during the morning, to aid in the development and growth of each child.
• Playball (Ages 2.5 – 5 years)
• Curious Cubs (Dolphin Class only)

Annually:
• Speech and Auditory assessment (Ages 4 – 5 years)
• Eye Screening (Ages 4 – 5 years)

Regular educational outings and "special days" such as Grandparents' Day, Sports Day, Nativity Concert and educational visitors, all help enhance the educational programme. Parent meetings and reports ensure you are kept up to date and social get-togethers provide the opportunity for parents to meet and share.
